ROSS Service Coordinator (RSC) Position

 

The Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinator (RSC) is a 3-year grant
funded (renewable with approved grant application) position working with individuals and families to identify needs, establish goals and provide effective case management services to a diverse population with a wide range of needs focusing on improved economic independence and housing self-sufficiency.

 

The RSC functions as a case manager providing a full range of strengths-based services and performs general needs assessments of residents living in public housing, facilitates community linkage, and provides resident instruction and training. The RSC collaborates with public and private resources, service providers and agencies to deliver services and empowerment activities to meet residents’ needs, including transportation, childcare, education, training, and work supports to ensure program participants receive the necessary services allowing for the removal of barriers toward economic independence and housing self-sufficiency. The RSC will be responsible for program development including goals, outcomes, evaluation and a comprehensive service delivery system model for maximum program effectiveness. The RSC will be responsible for program evaluation, record and report writing and submission and grant writing for future ongoing ROSS program funding.

 

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services required with 2 years of experience in human services case management. Applicants must have working knowledge of social service providers in the area and be able to create community linkages as well as the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Experience in mental health is preferred. Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Authority’s insurance carrier. Individuals are expected to utilize their own car for daily work-related travel with mileage reimbursement for all miles incurred during service provision. The RSC position is non-exempt position with an expected 40-hour work week Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30 pm with flexibility to engage with program participants as they are reasonably available. Applicants must be able to pass a drug test for employment with the Authority.
